Accede
Accede 是一个动词，通常后接介词 to。常见含义有两个：一是同意某人的要求或建议（有时是不情愿的）；二是担任高层职位，特别是指即位。
- The government finally decided to accede to the protesters’ demands. (政府最终决定答应抗议者的要求。)
- He acceded to the throne after his father’s death. (他在父亲去世后继位。)
