Disparate
Disparate 是一个形容词。强调的是事物之间由于本质不同而完全没有共同点。
- The two cultures have disparate views on the role of the individual. (这两种文化在个人角色方面有着截然不同的观点。)
- The collection consists of disparate items from all over the world. (这套收藏品由来自世界各地的各色物品组成。)
- It is difficult to bridge the gap between these two disparate groups. (很难消除这两个截然不同的群体之间的隔阂。)

dis-(不/分离) - 词根：
-par-(对等，如 pair, parity, separate) - 含义：不对等的 -> 不同的。
联想 separate (分开)。Disparate 的东西就是因为太不一样了，所以必须“分开”看。或者记：dis- (不) + par (平/等)。
